Okay, that concludes my test drive, which has lasted less than half an hour. Easy, pleasant, and rather capable -- in some ways better than Movable Type. I think it's a good hosting setup for people looking to start a blog, or for people who have blogs who are looking for a steady, reliable home. A really high-traffic / high-storage blog probably belongs elsewhere, but otherwise I think it's a good deal for most everyone.

I was lucky enough to have Typepad go live around the time I wanted to start blogging. (I could see no one was happy with Blogspot, but I had ZERO experience on the web, so MT sounded too daunting. I needed something that someone with no HTML experience could use.)
I would like to see some posting options for font sizes and colors built into Typepad eventually, but you really can't beat it for ease of use. The Six Apart team also responds to any questions very quickly.
I hope to have bandwidth problems eventually! Then again, we can't all be Instapundit.
